This tutorial on how to make a Flower Head Custom Brooch Pin will be a quick and easy one (brooch pin attached-not intended for children). I will be describing how to create a custom brooch using the Polka Dot 4 inch Silk Crystal Peony Head pink with white dots color option. A series of photos will express each step. The photo below entails what is needed for the project; all items are available in Wholesale Girls.
As shown below, the first step is to remove the green backing by peeling off the backside of the flower. Next, glue the petals together, so they won’t slip off the stem. Simply, glue each layer of the petals together with hot glue.
Once the petals have been glued together, the next step is to cut the green stem off the backside of the flower. The round craft felt pad will be glued flush to the backside and the green stem needs to be removed so it can lay flat.
To prepare the round craft felt pad, choose the color and size you would like and hot glue the brooch back to the felt pad, as shown in the photo below. For this project I am using a pink 1.5″ inch round craft felt pad.
Last, hot glue the felt pad to the backside of the peony…
….and it is ready to wear!
