Question: My daughter LOVES all the bows I get her at Wholesale Girls, but she has so many that they don’t fit neatly into their box. I don’t like how misshapen they are getting from being repeatedly squished into their container, but I also don’t want them loose in her room (what a mess!). Do you have any tricks for storing bows so that they stay pretty? – Marsha, St. Louis MO
What’s that they say? So many bows, so little time? It should be: so many bows so little room! Worry not Marsha, I think I have the perfect solution to end all of your bow troubles. If you want to keep your bows looking great, it is best to clip them onto something rather than putting them in any kind of container. At Little Girl Mart we actually sell adorable tutu dress boards for this very purpose! Simply hang one of these puppies on the wall, clip on your favorite bows and voila!, a stylish and functional wall decoration!
If you would rather put something together yourself, a great option for a DIY bow holder is to use old shutters. I kept this pair from a house remodel and they look totally shabby chic decked out in bows (As a safety note, I would suggest a coat of paint or lacquer first if your shutters are old and you want to avoid unnecessary splinters). We use them all the time in the showroom to display bows and they look great hung on a wall or set on a table.
