Dear Annabelle, I was interested in your new felt applique patches and I wondered if you had any ideas on how to use them? I normally buy the iron-on fabric appliques and rhinestone transfers but I thought I would try the felt and branch out a little. Thanks!! Andrea, Milwaukee WI
Hi Andrea! I am glad you took an interest in our new felt appliques; I too am a die-hard fan of the easy iron-on applique but after trying out some felt appliques I discovered that they come with their own advantages. Hooray for trying new things! (and they’re only $.37 cents each with the new arrival sale!). These little appliques can be used for such a wide variety of crafts it is just plain amazing. Felt is an ideal crafting fabric because you can leave unfinished edges and they won’t ever fray and it can be sewn or glued on to most other materials. You can even use it to make a girls hair bow! To give you some idea of its versatility, our patriotic felt crystal flower applique would be great for adding to 4th of July scrapbook pages, making a DIY baby headband decoration, making greeting cards, adorning patriotic outfits and making a special patriotic brooch pin for starters!
In addition to these crafts, you can also stick our felt appliques onto pillows for a fun home craft or nursery decoration. I used two of the pink and lavender felt crystal flower appliques to decorate this cute personalized pillow for a girls room. I am not much of a seamstress so I hot glued these guys on to the fabric, but they could also easily be sewn on. Whatever your style, you can easily find a way to use these fun felt appliques!
