Dear Annabelle, I am so excited about your new nagorie feather headbands!! I run a small photography studio focusing family photos and portraits of children, and these feather headbands seem like they would make a great headpiece for a little girls shoot (they’ve got so much color and drama!). Do you think these headbands will look good on camera? How do people usually style them? Faith, Little Rock AR
Dear Faith, you are spot on to think that these feather headbands will make a great photo accessory! There is a huge trend right now to shoot old-hollywood inspired shots with girls and babies using these fanciful nagorie feather headbands. Not only do they offer a huge pop of color on camera, but they are usually “blinged” out with fun charms and embellishments that provide a whole lot of old school glamour. We just got in four styles of nagorie curly feather headbands including the one on the left so there are plenty of options for you to choose from!
I think the best way to shoot them, and what I have seen done most, is to recreate a “glamour shot” and pose the subject looking demure or smiling slightly with downcast eyes. Of course though, these headbands will look great no matter how you choose to arrange the photo so you should play around and see what looks good with your subject!
As far as styling goes, our feather headbands look fantastic with a ruffled petti top or romper. There is something about those fluffy ruffles that really compliments the curly feather headbands. You can also add other accessories such as strings of pearls and feather boas depending on the look you are going for. These feather headbands are just too much fun though, so watch out, or you might get a little addicted to our new favorite Little Girl Mart accessory!!
